About Elyse Quartini, DPT, OCS

I am Elyse Quartini, Doctor of Physical Therapy and Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist. I earned my masters and doctorate degree at the University of California San Francisco/San Francisco State University program and have been in practice for over 10 years. My primary focus of research and study was the significance of core strength for injury treatment and prevention.

I have always been fascinated with how the body moves. I love to study it, watch it and make it perform better.     My expertise includes being a diagnostician, in addition to treating the presenting issues, I work closely with the patient and their medical team to determine and address the root cause.  One of my clients jokingly refers to me as the "Dr. HOUSE" of physical therapy.   My other areas of expertise include manual therapy and movement training to restore the body.  I include patient education as an important part of the recovery process and am attentive to the emotional side of recovery.

I specialize in working with frustrated clients who are not improving or getting the answers or attention needed to reach--or return to--their full potential.

My goal is to give people answers as to why they have pain and why they can’t “play”.   I provide hands on techniques to treat the problems, demonstrate to them how to retrain their bodies and empower them prevent future episodes. In my mind an athlete is anyone who likes to move their body and depends upon it’s healthy functioning to do the things they love.

I would welcome the opportunity to help you move past the pain and frustration of your injury and into a state of recovery, and a return to the things you enjoy.

A Personal Aside...

My extra-curriculars have always been sports or play of some kind. My first “hobby”  is taking photos of surfers from the water. I’ve always loved surfing, and enjoy being in the thick of it, documenting other people’s talent
